How an outdoor session runs

We start ~90 minutes before sunset (golden hour) for the warmest, most flattering light. A typical session covers 2–3 locations within walking distance — for example Zona Colonial → Catedral Primada → Plaza España, or Malecón → Güibia. We move quickly, direct gently, and shoot in short bursts so the energy stays fresh.

We bring portable flashes for cloudy days or interior shots inside churches, but most outdoor sessions are pure natural light. You bring 2–3 outfits and we change between locations.

Best months for outdoor sessions in the Dominican Republic

November–April is dry season — the most reliable months for sunset shoots. May–October is rainy season but rain is usually short afternoon bursts, so we still shoot most days. The most challenging months are September–October (hurricane season) where we book with a reschedule clause.
