Birthday Photoshoot in Santo Domingo
A birthday photoshoot covers everything from the first-year smash cake to senior portraits, individual birthday portraits with a decorated set, or coverage of the actual event with family and guests. Each format calls for a different setup: for newborns and babies we work with small sets and soft light; for older kids and teens with custom themed sets; for adults with classic studio portraits or more editorial productions.

Birthday session types
Smash cake (1 year). Decorated studio set with balloons, number ones, themed accessories, and the traditional cake for the baby to destroy. 90-minute session with look changes (one or two outfits) and breaks to feed/change the baby. 30 edited photos.
Children (2-12 years). Set adapted to age and preferred theme (superheroes, princesses, sports, nature). We work in short blocks to keep attention. We recommend bringing 2-3 outfits and having the kid rested and fed.
Teens (13-18 years) and quinceañeras. Formats vary here: more mature editorials, photos with friends as a complement to the main event, model-book-style sessions. For quinceañeras we have a dedicated page — see quinceañera photoshoot.
Adults (individual birthday). Classic portrait to celebrate a round birthday (30, 40, 50, 60). Usually a more editorial format, in studio with careful lighting, treating yourself to a professional session.
Event coverage. If what you want is the party documented (decoration, guests, cake moment, first candle), we work coverage packages of 2-4 hours at your venue. We quote via WhatsApp based on hours and guest count.
How the studio session works
Duration: 60 minutes for a simple portrait, 90 minutes with decorated set, 2 hours for smash cake with breaks.
Decorated set: we can prepare balloons, numbers, paper backdrop in color (red, beige, gray, green, blue, pink), and basic props (chair, frame, plushies). For specific themes (superheroes, Disney princesses, dinosaurs) we recommend the client bring characteristic props.
Makeup: optional as add-on. For kids under 8 we don't recommend full makeup; for teens and adults the service is available with 5 days notice.
Chaperone: for baby and child sessions there must always be at least one responsible adult present. We have a changing area + rest area with chairs for chaperones.

Event coverage (at your venue) — from RD$ 17,880 / US$ 300. 2 hours, we cover decoration, guests, cake moment and first candle, 80+ edited photos, gallery in 7-10 days.

Do you do smash cake?
Yes. The first-year smash cake is one of our most requested formats. We prepare a decorated set with balloons, numbers, background of choice, and classic props. The session lasts 2 hours with breaks to feed/change the baby.
Do you do themed sets?
Yes — for basic themes (solid color, balloons, numbers, frame) we prepare it in the studio. For very specific themes (Marvel superheroes, Disney princesses, specific characters) we recommend the client bring characteristic props. We coordinate via WhatsApp 5 days before.
How many outfit changes can my kid do?
A 90-minute session fits 2 looks comfortably. For smash cake sessions (2 hours) 2-3 looks fit: clean pre-cake outfit + clothes to destroy the cake + final post-bath outfit.
Can you come to my house for the event?
Yes. We work event coverage at any location within Santo Domingo at no extra travel cost. For events outside the city we quote a travel fee based on zone.
